Rochelle Sherman
CEO/Program Director

Rochelle has dedicated her life to serving others.  She has worked in the medical field for over 30 years, providing passionate care to others in their most vulnerable moments.  Whether it was offering a comforting presence, assisting through life-saving treatments, or supporting families through difficult times, Rochelle strives to go above and beyond to always ensure the well-being of those she serves.  She is committed to unwavering empathy that embodies the true spirit of who she is. Rochelle comes from a family of addiction and understands how addiction is a powerful force that can affect anyone.  For some years she suffered in silence with her addiction, hiding her pain behind a facade of achievements, fighting through numerous setbacks and traumas, battling her mental health, and dealing with shame and guilt.  It was when she found herself completely broken, lost, and in complete despair that she reached out for help and began to understand the true nature of addiction and the importance of seeking help.  Rochelle never lost hope and knew she wanted a better life, not just for herself but for her family and others.

Rochelle was able to overcome her addiction through her faith, rehabilitation, and support from her family and  A.A. community.  She was able to persevere, despite challenges, and was motivated to turn her life around.  Recovery has brought life back to Rochelle. It brings tremendous joy to her to provide support and encouragement to those facing similar struggles.  It is her purpose to help others and make a significant impact on them.  Through her compassion and integrity, she is humbled to spread experience, strength, and hope.  It is her journey from addiction to recovery and then to service to others that is a testament to the power of perseverance and the impact of giving back to her community.  She strives to support those suffering from addiction every step of the way and upholds the tools and resources needed to build a healthier and happier life for those suffering from addiction. Through rehabilitation, empathy, and understanding we can change lives together.  Rochelle is dedicated to making a profound difference in the lives of those she serves and removing the stigma that addiction holds.

Kyle Kovaleski
COO

Kyle strives to help people in crisis. As a first responder for 15 years and helping people in their darkest moments, he lost touch with putting himself first and became lost in carrying the weight of others’ misfortunes. Overcoming major trauma and addiction did not come easy. He persevered against all odds and found happiness again by successfully eliminating self-destructive behaviors. Kyle values mentorship, therapy, alcoholics anonymous, and close friendships and family for recovery for a re-birth to a healthy and happy path in life. Prioritizing, was the key element in recovery. Kyle’s emphasis on Faith and spirituality allowed him to be in a place to now give back “the hope” to those who are ready to receive. His dream was always to give back and help those in need. By overcoming all the stressful obstacles such as trauma and addiction, his dream has now come true. Kyle will always continue to help those in need and nurture those suffering and needing HOPE. The tools for sobriety are available, and Kyle vouches to help all in need to understand and assist in using them so they can live a happy and healthy life.

David Yoon, MD
Medical Director/Addictionologist

Dr. Jiseung David Yoon is a board-certified physician specializing in Addiction Medicine and Public Health and General Preventive Medicine. Based in Orange County, CA, Dr. Yoon has a comprehensive range of experience across all levels of care, from outpatient telehealth services to inpatient hospital settings.

He earned his Medical Doctorate and Master of Arts in Bioethics from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in Preventive Medicine and a fellowship in Addiction Medicine. Dr. Yoon is committed to advancing the field of addiction medicine through his roles as Medical Director for multiple treatment facilities in Southern California and as an Assistant Professor of Preventive Medicine at Loma Linda University.

Matthew Beck
Clinical Director

Matthew is a licensed marriage and family therapist with extensive experience treating clients with substance abuse and mental health disorders.  Matthew resides in Southern California and he has a passion for working with those in the community to address the devastating effects of drug addiction and untreated mental health conditions.  He utilizes a variety of treatment modalities in his practice, and he provides leadership for the clinical team at Pacific Breeze Recovery.

Marlyn Munoz
Licensed Vocational Nurse
Marlyn earned her Vocational Nursing license from Stanbridge University in 2022. Since then, she has dedicated her career to working in recovery and mental health. With a profound passion for supporting individuals during their most challenging times, Marlyn leverages her personal experiences with addiction and mental health to offer unparalleled empathy and understanding.

Her commitment to fostering a safe and healing environment is evident in her approach to care. Marlyn’s exceptional active listening skills ensure that every person feels valued and heard, creating a foundation for effective support and recovery. She is deeply invested in giving back to her community, believing that safe spaces are essential for healing and growth.

Marlyn’s goal is to make a positive impact on her community through compassion, hope, and resilience. Her dedication to creating supportive environments underscores her belief in the transformative power of empathy and understanding.

Alexandra Mendoza
Behavioral Health Technician

Alexandra is a registered alcohol and drug technician with over 10 years of experience in addiction and in mental health. She is dedicated to patient care and assisting patients in their recovery to help achieve their goals. Her heart in addiction recovery promotes her compassion to everyone she serves. Her unique blend of personal experience and knowledge brings a deep understanding of the challenges and triumphs that come with overcoming addiction. Alexandra offers not only guidance and support, but also hope and inspiration, demonstrating that recovery is possible. With Alexandra’s faith and empathy she is able to create a safe and trusting environment where clients feel understood and valued, empowering them to take the meaningful steps towards lasting recovery.

With her ability to connect with others on a deep emotional level, Debbie listens with an open heart and offers unwavering support. Her compassionate nature is evident in every interaction, as she seeks to uplift and encourage those facing challenges. She has over 10 years of experience in caring for those with addiction, mental health disorders and disabilities and has devoted her life to serving others. Her faith, family, friends and community are the cornerstone of who she is within. It is her dedication that fosters a caring and inclusive environment, where she not only helps individuals feel seen and heard but also inspires a culture of compassion and kindness all around her.

Matt Seastrom
Associate Therapist

Matt Seastrom brings a wealth of experience and expertise, having dedicated three years to NAMI OC (National Alliance on Mental Illness Orange County) as a peer mentor, where he provided coaching and crisis support to a diverse clientele. His commitment to making a positive impact on people’s lives is evident through his internships at Outreach Concern and Norooz Clinic Foundation during his MFT coursework. After earning his master’s degree in psychology, Matt became a registered AMFT and joined Pacific Breeze Recovery, where he continues to thrive by helping others on their journey to recovery. Matt’s genuine passion for assisting individuals shines through in his work, as he finds fulfillment in guiding them toward better mental health and stability. Outside of his professional pursuits, Matt channels his energy into lifting weights, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and enjoying basketball.

Haya Kouli
Yoga Instructor

Haya is a dedicated yoga teacher with a profound passion for helping individuals transform their lives. With six years of experience working with people facing addiction, Haya understands the unique challenges on the path to recovery. She brings a compassionate and supportive approach to her teaching, creating a welcoming space where everyone can explore the healing power of yoga, meditation and sound healing. Haya believes deeply in the potential of each person to overcome obstacles and become their best selves. Through her classes, she guides clients to reconnect with their bodies, minds, and spirits, fostering resilience and inner peace.

Joseph Nash

Joseph is a dedicated Registered Drug and Alcohol Technician who brings both professional expertise and personal experience to his work. In recovery himself, Joseph has faced the challenges of trauma, mental health and addiction firsthand, giving him a unique perspective when it comes to supporting others on their journey to sobriety. His personal experience with recovery allows him to connect with clients in meaningful ways, creating a sense of trust and understanding that is crucial to successful treatment outcomes. Joseph utilizes his ability to adapt, his personal journey, his faith and his unwavering dedication to support and guide individuals through their recovery process. He believes that everyone has the potential to heal and live a fulfilling life, and he is committed to using his skills and compassion to help as many people as possible. Joseph wants to be a source of inspiration and show others that no matter how low or unbearable things may seem, there is always hope.
